It's almost here:
A dystopian science-fiction novel that will leave you breathless
In the year 2307, the world has become dangerously overpopulated, teetering on the brink of collapse. A sinister computer virus, unleashed to curb the crisis, spirals out of control—far beyond its creators’ intentions. When 8-year-old Autumn’s parents fall from their crumbling high-rise, Falkor—their biochemically enhanced search-and-rescue dog—becomes her fierce protector in a world suddenly set ablaze. Together, their pursuit of safety and new beginnings tests the boundaries of family bonds, the strength of friendships forged in duress, and the power of forgiveness in the hardest of times.

Sneak peek

She closed her swollen, tired eyes and stopped chewing when she felt the weight of fresh tears building. Looking out at their new world, her eyes were now set on the future—however dark that future might be. She let the donut melt and dissolve in her mouth, until all of its sweetness was gone.
“Thank you,” she whispered, wrapping an arm around Falkor’s neck.

About the Author

Sarah has always loved writing, especially poetry and short stories. She studied biology and computer science in college, and has enjoyed weaving those elements into her debut novel, Falkor and The Fire Virus.
After graduating from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, she attended graduate school at Arcadia University to become a Physician Assistant. Since then she's worked mainly in surgery, while staying busy raising a family with her husband, John.
When it comes to writing, Sarah loves to mix science with fantasy while tying in deep friendships and family bonds. She aims to write intriguing stories with excitement and turmoil, while remaining faith-based and grounded.
Outside of writing, she loves her church, basketball (Go Fever, Celtics, Hornets, and Mavericks!), baking, and spending as much time as possible with her family and close friends. Her greatest joy is her children—helping, guiding, and watching as they grow from little tikes into young men. She is married to her loving husband, John, with whom she has three sons and a Cavapoo, Moxie.
Falkor and The Fire Virus is her first novel, though she hopes to continue writing. Her next book will either be a sequel to Falkor and The Fire Virus or a new novel she’s planning, Cullen John and The Time Coaster, featuring a time-traveling roller coaster and a teenage boy who becomes stuck between worlds.
